As soon as a Son realizes that his Father was right he has alraedy got a son who says he is wrong
Funny—i read this cationed statement long back in Readers’ digest and kept it at the back of my mind but iam really facing the truth of this statement now that iam 60 years old and often think of my father and why i didnot heed to his guidance and teachings and iam faced with my son who thinks that he knows the world better and understand the life better than me and doesn’t need to listen to me
I often stand in front of my father’s photo and ask for his forgiveness–he was a practical man full of worldly wisdom and i never understood the value of his wisdom–and often repent for not having followed him and put myself into difficult spots and vulnerable kind of positions by not listening to him
I don’t know how to communicate with my son–it is funny but true that at our young age we are more guided by our friends and our cloese circle and they are all as inexperienced as we are wgereas we need a Mentor and a Guide–if not your father then may be you have to find someone you respect and have trust in so that you can save yourselves of the difficult situations—
But will it happen???
The generation gap is always there –every new generation starts with a revolt and comes back to acceptance of life like our elders–and the cycle goes on—-
A rare breed of God sent peapole who make a difference in your life all along
—–We all remember one or two teachers from our school who created a love for a particular subject and we did well all our lives–we do remember our good bosses who made our lives and homes peaceful and created a positive atmosphere all around–Life looked so very beautiful and meaningful–and in our later stages of lives we met people who became our mentors and showed us the right way to walk on and it is a blessing to get such good people who make so much of difference in our lives and make our lives so very meaningful
